Waiheke Island Supported Homes

Our Mission:

Empower

At Waiheke Island Supported Homes Trust, we are dedicated to promoting independence for individuals with varying needs. Our programs are designed to empower residents to make choices that foster personal growth and self-sufficiency.

Through tailored support and community involvement, we encourage individuals to explore their interests and develop essential life skills. This approach not only enhances their quality of life but also builds confidence and resilience.

We believe in creating an environment where everyone has the opportunity to thrive, contributing to a vibrant, inclusive community on Waiheke Island. By prioritizing independence, we help individuals to not only envision a fulfilling life but also work towards achieving it.

WISH owns adjacent homes, the White House, and the Green House at 55 and 57 Bay Rd.

The White House is home to seven people and the Green House to three. We work closely with our tāngata whaiora, with the ‘strengths recovery model’ approach.
